Missed the Fourth of July Fireworks at Fontainebleau Las Vegas? There’s One More Chance on July 18

Disclosure: Our family attended as invited media guests of Fontainebleau Las Vegas. As always, all opinions are our own.

There’s no shortage of places to watch Fourth of July fireworks in Las Vegas, but this year we experienced them from an unexpected (and gorgeous) vantage point: a poolside cabana at Fontainebleau Las Vegas that felt like a hidden grotto, with natural stone framing the entrance to a more secluded space.

Inside, the cabana was luxe and comfortable with a large TV, ceiling fan, refrigerator, wrap-around couch, and additional lounge seating just outside for stretching out in the late-day sun.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is the only resort in Las Vegas to receive the prestigious Michelin One-Key distinction- and even walking through the property on the way to the pool, it’s easy to see why.

We spent the evening enjoying the resort’s holiday festivities and decorations (complete with America 250 flags) before looking up as fireworks lit the Las Vegas sky. What struck us most was how different the same space felt compared to our previous visit during the winter holidays, when the cabanas overlooked Fontainebleau’s seasonal skating rink. In July, the pools became the heart of the celebration in a completely different way, shifting the entire atmosphere into a summer setting while still carrying the same sense of occasion.

As the sun dipped down, there was an unmistakable energy in the air as everyone settled in for the evening, drinks in hand, waiting for the fireworks to begin.

Because of the holiday, the food menu was intentionally limited, but sometimes simple is exactly what you want on a hot summer night. We shared the chips and salsa trio, featuring salsa tatemada, salsa fresca, and salsa guacatillo, while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere before the show.

The cocktails, however, were a standout. The Side Piece, made with Flecha Azul Blanco Tequila, pamplemousse, lemon, and prickly pear, was bright and refreshing. The BlackBerry Bliss, crafted with Jack Daniel’s Blackberry Whiskey, lemon, and fresh mint, was equally memorable.

Then came the main event.

As darkness settled in, bursts of red, white, and blue illuminated the sky, reflecting off the water and creating a spectacular backdrop. Watching the fireworks from the comfort of a cabana offered a completely different perspective than standing shoulder-to-shoulder on a crowded sidewalk. It felt relaxed, festive, and unmistakably Las Vegas.

The good news for anyone who missed the Fourth of July celebration is that there’s still another chance to catch fireworks at Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Friday, July 18, as part of the city’s America 250 festivities.

Beyond Fontainebleau, the celebration continues across the Las Vegas valley. Fireworks are scheduled for Saturday, July 11 at MGM Grand, ARIA Resort & Casino, and Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. On Saturday, July 18, synchronized displays return at Resorts World Las Vegas, Fontainebleau Las Vegas, and The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower. The series concludes on Saturday, July 25, with fireworks at Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, and The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.
