Description: Want to swim with sharks without actually “swimming with sharks?  We did too.  “The Tank” in Las Vegas is a one-of-a-kind $30 million dollar swimming pool and shark aquarium hybrid that features a 200,000-gallon tank filled with a variety of marine life, including several species of sharks, stingrays, and exotic fish. The Tank's standout feature is a three-story water slide that passes through the middle of the shark tank, enclosed in a clear acrylic tube, giving riders a thrilling view of the predators as they zoom by. CNN called "The Tank" one of the Top 10 Pools in the world.

In addition to the slide, "The Tank" offers multiple swimming areas, including a main pool and a smaller, more intimate infinity pool on the upper deck. There are also private gazebos and cabanas available for rent, providing a luxurious and secluded space to relax while enjoying personalized service. The pool area is surrounded by lush landscaping and stylish lounging areas, making it an ideal spot to soak up the sun.

For those looking to get even closer to the marine life, “The Tank” offers guided tours of the shark tank, where guests can learn about the different species and the care that goes into maintaining the aquarium. Whether you're seeking an adrenaline rush or a relaxing day by the pool, “The Tank” delivers a memorable and unique Las Vegas experience.

Tips & Hacks:  If you’re not staying at the hotel, the cost to swim in the Tank is $50/person per day.  BUT if you rent a lounge table, gazebo, or cabana, that is waived (each VIP area has its own cost and minimum spend requirement).  We had a party of six and were able to have a gorgeous shaded, corner gazebo with our own dedicated server.   Not only that, but our $50 per car parking was validated- making it a great deal for a fun day.  Don’t forget to bring sunscreen and bottled water to stay hydrated in the Vegas sun.

Don’t Miss:  The insane waterslide through the shark tank.  It can be fast, and difficult to see, but it was so fun you’ll want to go again and again.  You’ll also want to allow plenty of time to hang out at the bottom of the tank in the water and look into the aquarium.  It’s amazing and sometimes disconcerting. When a shark swims RIGHT in front of you showing their teeth, your brain will immediately wonder just how thick that glass separating you really is.  Yes, it’s safe, but there’s something about you both being in the water at the same time that changes the experience.

Skip It:  I would choose a gazebo or cabana over per person cost every single time.  The benefits of having someplace to put your gear, sit down, and have someone who can bring you a delicious drink or snack are priceless.
