Description: Right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, Mon Ami Gabi is both a family favorite of more than twenty years and a culinary gem. It has the vibe of a Parisian bistro with its classic French dishes and lively ambiance. For us, the patio is a MUST, overlooking the iconic Bellagio Fountains. Our most recent visit was for their curated Thanksgiving dinner (I really didn't want to cook this year since our major feast will be over the Christmas holiday). It's always lovely, however, this year we had... leftovers from Formula One on the strip blocking part of the gorgeous and mesmerizing water ballet that normally graces the Las Vegas skyline. Still the food and ambience makes it a huge win.
Deals: No deal on dinner BUT…
Tips & Hacks: There is a $100 gift card deal where you get a $25 dollar bonus to be used January 2- April 8, 2024. We bought 3 $100 gift cards, used them to purchase our dinner AND now have $75 to use after the holidays. Makes you feel like an F1 winner after watching the Bellagio fountains through the remaining empty grandstands.
Dining: We had access to their main menu on Thanksgiving as well, which I didn’t anticipate, and led to the great pâté mistake of 2023 (see below). But if you’re going on Thanksgiving, don’t you need to get Thanksgiving dinner?
Thanksgiving Menu:
Hors D’oeuvre
Smoked Salmon
pumpkin spice brioche, black peppercorn crème fraîche, chives
– OR –
Endive & Pear Salad
blue cheese, candied pecans, croutons
Second Course
Fairy Tale Pumpkin Soup
amaretto cream puff
Entreé
Herb-Roasted Turkey
caramelized yams, garlic & sage cornbread stuffing, haricots verts, potato purée, bourbon gravy, vanilla-cranberry relish
Dessert
Pumpkin Bread Pudding
maple crème anglaise sauce, vanilla ice cream
– OR –
Pecan Chocolate Tart
caramel sauce, vanilla whipped cream
Don’t Miss: We tried it ALL and everything was tasty and satisfied our Turkey dinner cravings. The turkey was flavorful and NOT dry as the Sahara (which is always a win at Thanksgiving) and the Pumpkin Soup was incredible. We loved the salad so much, I've now made our own variation with Cambozola several times. We had so much food that we took home three boxes of leftovers. What’s Thanksgiving without leftovers, amirite?
Skip It: Because I’m an actual glutton and obsessed with the chicken liver mousse pâté, we also ordered that. Do it ANY other time than Thanksgiving. I quickly identified it as a mistake once we got to the second course, but by that time the damage was done, the pâté was (ahem) largely gone and we hadn’t even come to the Turkey dinner portion.
