Cost: $$ (for fine dining add-on, add several more $$$$)
Description: Steampunk meets Cirque du Soleil meets Baz Luhrman's Moulin Rouge with a large amount of Rum at Lost Spirits Distillery at Area 15 in Las Vegas. This place is weirdddd in the most amazingly wonderful way. I actually told my husband I wanted to meet the mad genius who came up with this pairing. A PERFECT date night in Las Vegas, but be warned, get an Uber, Lyft or taxi or other designated driver. This is a lot of booze + fun.
Deals: It's rum and a show for $59 with additional deals for Military and Locals
Tips and Hacks: It's rum and a show, so treat it like that, and wander the rooms as you watch the 44 entertainers in residence.
The talent there is amazing- from jazz singers to Cirque and circus acts to America's Got Talent contestants. You'll wonder how in the world they discovered that they could do... THAT. "If I put this sword in my mouth, could I balance this tray with 6 glasses in a pyramid shape?" How and WHY would you do this? Doesn't matter, it's fun and crazy to watch.
You can't go wrong no matter what room and who you stumble across (we reallyyyyyyy loved the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea room). I could (and almost did) spend hours in that room alone.
21 seconds of an incredible Lost Spirits Distillery performer
Rum Tips: Load up on non-alcoholic drinks ahead of time so you're well hydrated. We LOVED the cherry rum and actually took home a bottle. We started with the regular rum choices, the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Navy style high octane rum, and THEN moved on to the sweeter choices for dessert (Cherry and Pineapple options). We also split a Manhattan made with my fav Cherry rum to try it out. It was great, but you'll definitely want to pace yourself and take advantage of the water dispensers you can use to clean your glass AND hydrate throughout the venue.
Dining: Eat ahead or at neighboring Area 15 (you do NOT want to be hungry before you imbibe).
There is also the incredible-looking 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea fine dining experience add on for $355/person (as of November 2023). We haven't tried it yet, so we can't recommend it without a review, but if you try it, drop us a line and let us know what you think.
