Description:  Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar is an elegant chain of restaurants with over 65 locations in the country, with roots in California and a relaxed atmosphere.  They serve USDA Prime steaks, in-season sides, appetizers, salads, and a HUGE selection of wines.  The service is exceptional from walking in the door to rolling back out after your meal.  The restaurant was buzzing with a festive air and every table was full of smiling faces.

Deals: We went to Fleming’s for their A Taste for Twosday, which is an exceptional deal!  The special includes two full salads, two delicious sides, two decadent desserts, and either a 35 oz Prime Tomahawk with a choice of butters or a combo of a 28 oz Prime Bone-in New York Strip and a 6 oz Filet Mignon with a trio of salts.  All of this for only $150!  Fleming’s also offers a fantastic “social hour” Sunday-Thursday from 4-6 in the bar, which includes a selection of cocktails and bar bites.

Tips & Hacks:   Bring a bottle of wine with you!  While their menu is extensive, their corkage is only $30, saving you a decent amount of money on a great bottle of wine.  Just make sure they don’t already sell the bottle you are bringing.

Dining: The Taste For Twosday menu does not change (apart from some of the seasonal sides), but the ala carte changes with the seasons.  Fleming’s also offers a seasonal Chef’s 3-Course Menu (price ranges from $129-$145 depending on the size of the Filet).  The winter menu offered when I visited Fleming’s included an amuse-bouche of Salmon Poke Wonton, a Citrus Frisee Salad, a Filet Mignon and One Pound Rock Lobster Tail, and an Espresso

Martini Chocolate Mousse.

Don’t Miss:  THE CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE. Oh my goodness, it was one of the most gooey, rich lava cakes I have ever eaten, with the perfect molten center of Callebaut Belgian Chocolate.  The vanilla ice cream melted and swirled with the cake and middle and the house-made tuille reminded me of a crispy Nilla Wafer.  I could eat it every day (if my budget and/or stomach would let me)!

Skip It:  The extra bread they offer for the table – the first round is plenty if you want to finish your meal.  We, against our better judgment, accepted the second basket of bread offered by our amazing server, but we couldn’t resist.

Their freshly made warm sourdough loaf is served with house-made butters that change regularly.  We had a champagne brie butter spread and a cheddar thyme butter spread.

All in all a great meal and a GREAT deal!
